Uniforms


 

CLOTHING AND FOOTWEAR

It is Compulsory that ALL Athletes wear their Centre Uniform and Appropriate (Covered) footwear always During Competition as per requirements of the Little Athletics NSW Inc.

Athletes who register with Lake Illawarra Little Athletics Centre have two (2) weeks to obtain a uniform. Exemptions will be allowed if uniforms are delayed by our manufactures.

Athletes must wear Centre uniform always whist competing in Little Athletics, including Friday Nights, Centre Carnivals and events run by LAASW. Failure to wear our centre uniform on Friday nights will result in points being deducted; failure to wear them at centre carnivals and events run by the LANSW will result in the athlete not being able to compete at all.

Our Uniform is

Girls      Centre Singlet or Crop Top with plain royal blue bike pants, or shorts.

        (No Stripes or Logos are permitted on the bike pants or shorts)

Boys     Centre Singlet with plain royal blue bike pants or shorts.

       (No Stripes or Logos are permitted on the bike pants or shorts)

Our Centre sells compression pants approved by the LAANSW, which may be worn at club competitions and LAANSW events. Long Bike pant or Compression pants can be worn under the shorts on Friday nights except for the Walk events.

Uniform Prices

Crop Top/Singlet – $40.00

Shorts/Bike Pants – $25.00

Full Set – $60.00

Plain white shirts or long sleeve shirts are permitted under the uniform during Friday night competition.

Uniforms can be purchased from the Uniform Officer at Clubhouse between 4-30pm and 5-30pm on Friday nights.

All Athletes are required to wear their Registration Number and Age Patch on the front of their uniform and they are to be clearly visible during competition. The red border around the registration number must also be clearly visible. The Age Patch is to be worn on the left-hand side of the Uniform and clearly visible at all levels of Competition as per above diagrams. {Replacement numbers and patches can be obtained from the Registrar for a specified fee, Registration Number $20.00 and age patches $2.00, these fees are not put on by the centre but by the LAANSW)

Athletes in the Under 11’s and 12’s may wear “Spiked Shoes” in all events from the 70m to 400m inc Hurdles, Long/Triple/High Jump and Javelin. The Under 13-17’s can wear spikes in all track events except for the walks as well as the Long/Triple/High Jump and Javelin. Those eligible to wear spikes may do so only for the duration of the event. Spikes must be carried to and from the event and must be removed immediately upon completion of the event whilst on the track or at the area of competition.

We promote sun safe awareness and as such allow athletes to wear of hats during competition. Please Note that during high jump this is considered a part of the uniform and if it happens to knock to bar off it will be considered a foul.
